, The Buffalo Gals "are fast becoming the country's favourite old-time country string band.  Firmly rooted in traditional American music, with an authentic sound driven by fiddle, banjo, percussive step dance, and soaring harmonies, they produce an irresistible show packed with all the excitement, passion and fun of Appalachian, Bluegrass, Blues and Cajun tunes and songs.
Buffalo Gals performs Old-time country music from the Southern Appalachian region of the United States, and specialises in using music, song and dance to convey the spirit, excitement and passion of American roots music."
They presently perform at a variety of Folk and Bluegrass festivals, arts centres, acoustic music and folk clubs, and dances.

The Haley Sisters
new CD is out now

and it’s been well
worth the wait.

When I Reach The Place I’m Going’ is the perfect showcase for the Haleys’ versatility of range and style - with fantastic solo performances from Becky on Dan Seals’ bittersweet ‘Everything That Glitters’, and Jo-Ann on Rodney Crowell’s ‘Til I Gain Control’.
Listening to the sisters sing individually is a delight - put them together as on ‘Creepin’ In’ and ‘Let It Be Me’, and the hallmark Haley sound soars like never before.

Backed by Brian Smith on guitar, slide guitar & percussion, a former Nashville session player who performed on many sessions including a Crystal Gayle album, single and on several live shows here in the UK! She recently quoted Brian as “One of the best!”

The Yorkshire-born sisters promise much and deliver more - their voices sure, sweet and strong, their harmonies tight, together and true.
Jo-Ann and Becky were born and raised near Bingley in West Yorkshire and have been singing professionally together for more than twenty years, appearing at leading venues throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe and gathering awards and accolades galore!
For more information,
" Paul Bain and Claire McArthur, are a contemporary twist on a modern country duo. Continuing the tradition of exciting new music to emerge from Glasgow, their catchy hooks and dynamic male/female harmonies are delivered with a passion and style that demands attention; while their carefully crafted lyrics articulate some very human emotions in a sincere, ‘heart on the sleeve’ kind of way

Brian Hughes

Brian Hughes is without doubt one of the UK's finest songwriters.
From the beautiful shores of Loch Lomond, Scotland, they have established themselves as a ‘hot ticket act' in the UK festival scene where they have set the standard in original material shows, and are now viewed as contenders for the ‘Next Big Thing'.

With three successful album releases behind them, and a fourth My Kind Of Paradise now released Brian's songs are the rock on which the live performance is built. Wonderful musicianship accompanied with professional attitude and commitment guarantees no one leaves a LoneShark show not impressed, this being clearly evident by the evergrowing fanbase. The songs have been recognised by leading US music house Atlanta Music Group who immediately offered Brian a songwriter contract. He was thereafter invited to travel Stateside to play shows in Nashville, Tennessee and Atlanta. Georgia. website

Thomas had been a fisherman and crofter - ordinary you might say - yet he left a stunning legacy: thousands of songs recorded at home in his small croft house using a reel-to-reel recorder. Not music traditionally associated with Shetland entirely, for Thomas was an exponent of the country and blues styles and his passion was the guitar.

His tapes lay undisturbed for 25 years until his Grandson discovered them and inspired by what he heard, compiled a 25-track CD release in 2002. The release of ' Long Gone Lonesome Blues' gave Thomas Fraser the recognition he so richly deserved. The critics called it "one of the most remarkable stories in recording history" and "some of the greatest American music you will hear". Two more discs soon followed: 'You and My Old Guitar' (2003) and 'Treasure Untold' (2005).
